Honoring: Rick Mann

Rick Mann's involvement with JCC Greater Boston extends over two decades. During this period, he served as president of the Leventhal-Sidman JCC, a member of the Board of Governors, and as legal counsel. Rick was the recipient of the JCC's "Koach" award for his past service.

Rick is the chair of the New England Holocaust Memorial Advisory Committee, and previously served as the president of the Friends of the New England Holocaust Memorial. The American Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors of Greater Boston honored Rick for his advocacy on their behalf.

The recipient of the 2006 Community Service Award from the American Jewish Committee, Rick is a past president of the AJC's Greater Boston Chapter. He also formerly served as vice president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston; as a member of the Board of Overseers of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital; and as a director of the American Anti-Slavery Group and the David Project, among other community organizations.

In addition to his community work, Rick is a real estate and business attorney with more than four decades of legal experience. After years with several high-profile firms, he established his own law firm in 2007. A portion of Rick's legal practice has been devoted to pro bono matters, including assisting local victims of human trafficking. Rick serves as a Town Meeting Member in Needham, where he lives with his wife, Sophie, and their dog, Manny. They have two adult children.
